Our Spaces

At our tranquil Balmain location, within the Heritage listed Sunlight Factory, we have a number of learning / meeting spaces that our clients regularly access. These include our purpose designed ThinkTank, and the smaller Balmain and White Bay meeting rooms.

The ThinkTank

The most significant, yet most overlooked decision in planning an off-site meeting is the venue. The meeting environment often has a direct impact on the success of achieving meaningful outcomes. Rarely is a space considered for its overall conduciveness. Finding a venue that meets all the technical requirements and supports participation can be a tall order. However, at The ThinkTank we have taken all that into consideration and thus hope you come to see it as integral part of your most important offsite meetings.

For participants to be open, reflective and expansive in their thinking, the meeting room needs to provide participants with feelings of space and comfort. The 54sqm of The ThinkTank meeting room provides ample space for meetings of up to 30 people. This large expanse provides plenty of room to get up and walk around, whether to change perspective or just to enable participants to contribute directly to the collaborative wall space.

An important factor for any successful meeting is the level of team participation and learning that takes place, and the best tool for that is a whiteboard. The ThinkTank has a 36sqm white board wall wrapped around the meeting room. This expansive canvas not only allows everyone’s contributions to be captured, but because of its sheer size, it also allows information to be kept up around the room while the meeting continues, and new insights evolve.

Minds must change before behaviour changes follow. Thus it is no surprise that we called our space, The ThinkTank.

Breakout rooms

The Balmain and White Bay rooms are our smaller meeting rooms that can be used in conjunction with The Thinktank or hired separately.

They add additional value as breakout rooms and are often leveraged with our own client engagements, conducted in the ThinkTank. They are also great as stand-alone meeting rooms. Many of our clients enjoy hiring one or both for their various meeting needs. Some of our smaller leverage our spaces to have a physical place for a meeting. And for other larger clients it’s to get offsite for a different type of meeting.

The Balmain Room is furnished with an oval table, chairs and a large whiteboard, perfect for groups of 6 or less. The room has a large north facing window and a glass wall, giving it a very open spacious feel. Our White Bay Room is furnished with a round table, chairs and a large whiteboard, perfect for groups of 4 or less. This is the smaller the 2 and is the slightly more private room with no glass wall.

Our clients also enjoy having a space they can use when they are at our offices to take a call or have a meeting etc.

The Sunlight Factory

Our offices are situated in a heritage building previously home to The Sunlight Factory (circa 1895). The Sunlight Factory is located on the White Bay foreshore in Balmain, looking out over the bustling city centre.

Sitting within a previous factory, provides a charming warehouse-feel with exposed beams, brick walls and extremely tall ceilings for an airy ambience. Although it evokes all the right industrial details, it has been refurbished with all the modern amenities and facilities. Surrounded by the Vernardi green parkland, it’s hard to imagine this tranquil location is only a stone’s throw from the city.

Coming to the Sunlight Factory provides our client’s the opportunity to remove themselves from all the distractions of the work environment and to enter a tranquil retreat with all the creature comforts of cosmopolitan Balmain.
